Balloting for housing schemes

When files are sold before the plots are allotted, Pulse pairs the waiting files with the available plots of the same size in a recorded random draw.

Draw, check, confirm

Choose a plot size and, if you want, some blocks, and press Draw. The files of that size with no plot yet are paired at random with the available plots of that size, and the files left over wait for the next draw. Nothing is given until the draw is confirmed.

Repeatable and on record

Drawing again with the same files and plots shows the same pairs. When they have changed, the new draw replaces the earlier one, which stays on record. The printed result carries the draw’s seed, which reproduces it.

Safe against last-minute changes

If a plot was booked or a file sold since the draw, confirming stops and asks for a new draw. Once confirmed, each file has its plot, the plot shows as Booked, and the files’ lines due on balloting fall due on the draw date.
